Sales Engineer

FortifyData is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to help with our Sales Team in the sales process of winning deals. The ideal candidate will be mainly responsible for serving as a liaison in the sales process. Responsibilities include extensive knowledge of the FortifyData platform and processes/functionality within the platform and assisting to close sales where technical expertise as well as knowledge in the cybersecurity space will be required.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Showcasing the FortifyData platform and how it relates to a prospect’s business needs utilizing a vast knowledge of the cybersecurity space
  • Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand needs and systems requirements
  • Draft or assist with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers and prospective customers
  • Support Account Executives and Solution Specialists in identifying, proposing, and closing prospective deals
  • Articulate our value proposition, creating excitement and enthusiasm among prospects
  • Collaborate with your team to learn from one another, create positive energy and contribute to the overall growth of FortifyData
  • Build go-to relationships with key analytics and technology influencers and buyers within prospective customer organizations
  • Proactively identify and design data, analytics, and/or technical analyses to identify and qualify new sales opportunities

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience successfully engaging with prospects
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity
  • Experience working with Sales and Product teams
  • Extremely high interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think on your feet and communicate clearly
  • Experience in Sales Engineering with a proven track record of increasing sales and winning deals
